Dr. Cardenas’ first “Walk with the Doc” event inspired camaraderie among Dr. Cardenas, patients, friends, and even a dog or two, as they took part in a healthy brisk walk. Ages ranged from 2 to 92 years old! Walking is low impact; easier on the joints than running. It is safe – with a doctor’s okay – for people with orthopedic ailments, heart conditions, and those who are more than 20% overweight. In addition, research has shown that you could gain two hours of life for each hour of regular exercise!
Please join us at our next walk on August 18th, 2019 at 10:00 am. We will meet at Balboa Park Carousel at 2920 Zoo Drive (right next to San Diego Zoo). Please be sure to drink water, wear a hat and use plenty of sunscreen.
